Christian M. Doll

Christian M. Doll, age 30, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep from a pre-existing medical condition on September 28, 2026.

Christian was born on November 5, 1995 in Madison and grew up in Stoughton. He attended Stoughton High School, where he was successful in academics, soccer, and the Concert Choir. He made many close friends there, as well as at his family church. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was always an avid fan of the Badgers and anything football.

Christian’s intelligence and friendly personality served him well at the healthcare technology company R1, where he managed a team working in multiple states. The work allowed him to put his talents to good use helping hospitals and health systems stay financially stable. He was beloved by his colleagues and enjoyed socializing with them online and in person.

Among friends and family, he was a consistent source of laughter. He always had a quip, a question, or a funny expression to lighten the mood and make sure no one around him took themselves too seriously. His humor was especially enjoyed by his three-year-old niece, who love giggling at his antics. He was also a man of tremendous compassion and kindness, always putting the concern for others ahead of any needs or wants he had.

Despite his humor, Christian was not a man for the spotlight, nor for using many words when a few witty ones would do. But he was always willing to show quiet love through helping a friend or family member, or simply playing board games or a little backyard soccer or disc golf. He was a masterful baker and cook, a hobby that he shared with his mom and used to bring delight to those around him.

Today, Christian’s spirit is with God, but his wit, charm, and kindness are forever present in all those who knew him. We are blessed to have had him in our lives, and he left us far too soon. In his honor, his family asks that those who knew Christian think of him when they do the things that brought him the most joy: cooking a new recipe for a loved one, cheering on a favorite team, or bringing laughter to a small child. His personality brought a smile to so many people throughout his life, and through his loved ones he may yet bring light to many more.

Christian is survived by his parents, Mark and Christine Doll, his brothers Matt (Rachel) Doll and Noah Doll, niece, Maven Finazzo Doll, nephew, Soren Finazzo Doll, his uncle Mike (Shannan De Witt) Hermanson, aunts Sue (Art) Grinath and Diane Doll, as well as cousins Sarah Lynn, Leah Bence, Maggie Hermanson and Catie Hermanson.

Christian is preceded in death by grandparents John and Pat Hermanson and Art and Gladys Doll, as well as his aunt Cynthia Hermanson and uncle Greg Hermanson.

The family will be having a private service at a future date.
