Christa Decker

Madison - Christa Ann Decker, age 57, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2013 while at HospiceCare in Fitchburg.

Christa was born on November 10, 1955, the daughter of Richard and Jean "Toni" Decker.

Christa was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Madison and she was working as a library assistant for many years at Memorial Library.

Christa enjoyed reading, of which she was self taught and also enjoyed animals, spending time with her family and friends and especially being with the love of her life, Darwin. Christa was a volunteer at the Dane County Humane Society and also enjoyed music, Overture performances and her many adventures.

Christa is survived by the love of her life, Darwin Ness of Madison; three siblings, Sue (Steve) Wartgow of Cross Plains, Mike (Cindy) Decker of McFarland and Linda Hartay of Madison; 3 nieces and nephews, Leah, Angie and Ben; many special friends from Options and many other relatives and friends.

Christa was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Jean.
In her memory, memorials can be directed to the Dane County Humane Society, 5132 Voges Rd Madison, WI 53718.

Funeral services will be held at the Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison WI on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 11:00 AM. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home prior from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will conclude at Forest Hill Cemetery.
