Chessie James Johnson

Johnson, Chessie McFarland -- Chessie James Johnson, age 35, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2009.   He was born in Madison on June 25, 1973, a son of James Forest and Patricia Ann (Harris) Johnson.   Chessie was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to hunt and fish. He also loved cooking and NASCAR racing. He will be remembered as a caring, compassionate, and loving man with a big heart. He will forever be loved by his little buddy Chace, family, and friends.   He is survived by his parents, Jim (Donna) Johnson and Patricia (Joel) Hummel; son Chace Johnson; former wife, Sara Schmitz, half brother, Kenneth Law; 2 grandmothers, Margaret Johnson and Nina Harris; Aunt, Kay Johnson, and many other relatives.   He was preceded in death by half brother, Jason Daniel Law, uncle Mike Johnson; 2 grandfather, John J. Johnson and Schuyler Lot Harris.   Memorial services will be held on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 2pm at the Olson-Holzhuter-Cress Funeral Home in McFarland, where the family will greet friends from noon until the time of service.   Military rites at the funeral home,   and a reception at the McFarland American Legion Post # 534 will follow the services.   Olson-Holzhuter-Cress 5801 Hwy 51 McFarland 608-838-0655 www.CressFuneralService.com
