Charlotte Simansky

MADISON - Charlotte (nee Shmilowitz) Simansky, age 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 17th in Madison. Charlotte was born to Molly and Louis Shmilowitz on February 24, 1923, in New York City. She worked as a secretary for 50 years.

Charlotte was a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, daughter and friend, who loved people and loved life. She was compassionate, generous, witty, and accepted people for themselves.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Harriet, and Max, her devoted husband of 64 years. She is survived by her daughter, Anita (Lenny) of Madison, her son, Kenny (Karen) of Philadelphia, and her grandsons Michael of Madison and Matthew (Vanessa) of Philadelphia. Charlotte leaves behind her brother Sam (Shirley), sister Clara (Mel) and many other loving relatives and friends. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 20 at Forest Hill Cemetery with Rabbi Laurie Zimmerman presiding.â₨â₨The family thanks the staff at Capitol Lakes Retirement for the loving and dedicated care they provided to Charlotte.â₨â₨The family requests that those wishing to make donations in Charlotte's memory, send them to Congregation Shaarei Shamayim, P.O.
