In Loving Memory

Charles E. Davis "Chuck", age 93, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015, at Pine View Living Community in Sun Prairie. Charles was born February 22, 1922 in Stuttgart, Kansas, the son of Charles E. and Audrey E. (Woodard) Davis. He enjoyed over 61 years of marriage to Beverly Clifton, whom he married on November 28, 1945 in Colby, Kansas. Mr. Davis has been a resident of Madison since 1947 and served proudly in the Navy during WWII. Chuck retired in 1989 from Nagel- Hart, aka: FABCO. He was a member of the Moose Lodge No. 291.

He is survived by his beloved family, including his son, Dennis ( Chris) of Lodi; his daughter, Marlene ( Paul) Fotes of Barneveld; his eight grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; 8 great- great grandchildren; his brother Norman Davis; his daughter in law Terri Davis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his wife Beverly; his son Charles D. "Butch"; his daughter Mary Ellen Courtier; his granddaughter Jody Davis; his brothers Cecil and Neville; his sisters Darlene Randolph and Helen Heidrick; his son in laws Dennis Courtier and Terry Zaemisch; and his daughter in law Judy Davis.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 East Washington Ave., Madison Burial will be held in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
