Celestia Peterson

McFarland- Celestia "Sis" Behnke Peterson, age 95, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012. She was born in Madison on August 5, 1916 the daughter of Frederick and Amelia Behnke. Sis married Maurice Peterson on January 25, 1937. She was a member of McFarland Lutheran Church. Sis is survived by her son, Maurie (Ianne) Peterson of McFarland; grandson, Eric of Minneapolis; sister, Iris Westphal of Verona; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Maurice; brother, Arnold; and sister, Dorothy Herring. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at Roselawn Chapel, 705 Femrite Drive, Monona, with Chaplain Bob Groth officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10:30 AM until the time of services Tuesday at Roselawn. Memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare Inc.
