Cecilia “Bonnie” D. Ackerman passed away July 4, 2026. She was a loving sister, wonderful aunt and cherished daughter of the late Adolph and Cecilia (nee Stockman) Ackerman. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was a long-time resident of Madison, Wisconsin.

Bonnie leaves her brother, William J. Ackerman (Lois); her nephew, William R. Ackerman (Laurie); her nieces, Diane (Samuel, Jr.) Barnes; Lynn (Robert) Hayes; and Catherine Uecker (Robert, Jr.); as well as her great-nieces and great-nephews Paige McQuillan (James), Julia Barnes, Samuel Barnes III, Emerson Hayes, William Hayes and Emily Uecker and many treasured friends.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Ackerman Brunner; her nephew, Thomas Brunner; her brother, Robert Ackerman; her sister-in-law, Mary Ackerman; and her nephew, Robert Ackerman, Jr.

A private memorial service will be held in Mankato, Minnesota. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bonnie’s name may be made to a library of your choice.
