Catherine Evans

DeForest - Catherine E. Evans, age 101, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. She was born on December 19, 1911 in the township of Caledonia, Columbia County, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Florence (Towers) Stewart. Catherine graduated from Poynette High School and The University of Wisconsin Madison. She worked in different careers until her retirement from Wisconsin Power and Light in 1976. She enjoyed traveling all over the world making it to all seven continents with Africa being her favorite.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank Evans, brothers, Kenneth and Harlan Stewart, a sister, Doris Lindgren.

She will be buried on the family plot at Hillside Cemetery in Poynette.
