Carolyn Towne

MADISON-Carolyn Towne found peace on July 18, 2015, at the age of 70 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison surrounded by family. She was born on June 7, 1945, in Council, ID and baptized into the Catholic church in McCall, ID. Carolyn was the beloved wife and lifelong companion of Larry for 40 years. The couple married in McCall in September of 1975. She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Rosemarie Lawrence; brothers, Don and Bryan; loving daughter, Kari; and nephew, Brad. Carolyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be truly missed and remembered by her husband, Larry; son, Dave (Wendy Snyder); daughter, Pam (Rich); grandchildren, Shawn (Christy), Jennifer (Chris Gaddis), Rob (Ashlee), Danielle (Josh Hansen), Ben (Sarah Raigen), Lesley, and Ashley (Scott Tiedt); and great-grandchildren, Preston, Chase, Aubree, Len, and Lily. She is also survived by her nephew, Blaine; niece, Christy; and leaves behind many special friends including Don and Gayle, Arlene, Liz, Stan, and Genie.

Carolyn touched so many lives while her spirit was with us. She will be missed dearly by everyone who knew her. She loved and lived life to the fullest, was always an optimist, and had a warm smile on her face always. Carolyn loved music, art, wildlife, traveling, outdoor activities, and playing the piano and other instruments. She loved flowers and plants and had a magnetic, colorful personality. Carolyn traveled the United States as a professional truck driver. She was an excellent cook who loved being in the kitchen. Her last years were filled with warmth from family and all of the people who helped her live comfortably until the end. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the nurses and doctors from the dialysis center in Baraboo and MICU at Madison St. Mary's. Carolyn will be with her parents in McCall, ID to rest in peace.
