Obituary

Madison – Carolyn P. King passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026 at Attic Angel. Carolyn was born in Ionia, Michigan on December 20, 1934 to Andrew and Ruth (Peacock) Peterson.

She is survived by her children, Eric (Shawn) and Andrea (Rick); grandchildren, Alex (Caitlin) and Molly (Victor); 2 great-grandchildren; and brother Charles “Chub”. She was preceded in death her husband Roger, son Brian, and sister Janet Flaherty.

Carolyn was elected town Clerk for the Town of Brooklyn in Green Lake County in 1981 and served until 1993. She was active with PEO of Green Lake and in the League of Women Voters in Neenah.

She was a world traveler having explored Hong Kong, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Australia, France, Belgium, UK, Hungary and Edinburgh (Drum Festival). Carolyn enjoyed spending summer vacations at the cottage in Thessalon, ON, enjoyed weekend ski trips to Powderhorn Mountain in the U.P. She loved reading, crossword puzzles and listening to music.
