Carole A. Montemayor, died July 17th of 2026, at the age of 88 in Madison, Wisconsin.

She was born December 16th, 1937, in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, to the late Helen (Scholle) and Edwin F. Allen and graduated in 1955 from Rice Lake, High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her brother, Robert and her parents. She is survived by her children, Jennifer J. of Baraboo, Nathan A (Tara) and grandchildren Ava and Cole of Madison and her sister, Cheryl, brother-in-law Daryl Molitor of Plano Texas.

Carole attended University of Wisconsin Eau Claire and graduated in 1960 with a degree in Social Work. She earned her Master of Social Work degree at the U of W in Madison. She worked for several different agencies in Madison and last worked for Rock County Social Service. She and Charles moved to Mexico in 1995 and lived “the wonderful life” until 2007 when they returned to Madison due to Charlie’s illness.

In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to any non-religious organization that works to enhance the lives of children or to a no-kill animal humane group in your local area.

A celebration Carole’s life will be held Saturday, August 29th, 2026, at Cress Funeral Home, 3610 Speedway Road, Madison, WI 53705. A visitation will be held from 1 pm until 2 pm followed by a service at 2pm. A luncheon will follow the service.
