Carole Anderson

Cottage Grove - Carole Jean Anderson, age 76, died on September 23, 2012 while at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.

Carole was born on November 18, 1935 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Walter and Florence (Johnson) Sprengel. She married Richard Anderson On December 22, 1961 in Chicago.
Carole lived most of her life in Chicago before live in Michigan for 15 years and her final years in Wisconsin.

Carole was a member of Abiding Shepherd Lutheran Church and before her retirement worked as the assistant to the CEO while at South Haven Hospital in Michigan.

Carole enjoyed knitting, traveling with her husband, watching horses and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Carole is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Richard Anderson of Cottage Grove; three children, Carolyn (Richard) Wyman of Deerfield, William (Angela) Anderson of Verona and Darren (Julie) Anderson of Holland, MI; 13 grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Sprengel of Chicago and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt, Rosie Johnson and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Wobith.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Abiding Shepherd Lutheran Church, 406 W. Cottage Grove Road, Cottage Grove, WI with Rev. Nathan Krause officiating. A visitation will also be held at the church on Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Burial will conclude at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Madison at 3:00 PM.
