Carol Ann Schellin, age 73, passed away peacefully at Hyland Crossing in Sun Prairie on Monday, February 19, 2018. She was born March 20, 1944 in Madison, the daughter to John and Ruth (Jones) Seifert. She was united in marriage to Gerald "Jerry" Schellin at Bethel Lutheran Church in Madison on August 7, 1965. Together they raised two children.

Carol was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be remembered as being an excellent cook, avid reader and a lover of all animals. In her free time, Carol enjoyed watching NASCAR racing, listening to country music, bowling and camping.

She is survived by her daughter Jennifer (Tim) Krueger and son Erich (Jennifer) Schellin; her grandchildren Danielle and Hunter Krueger, Hannah, Megan, Rylie and Zachary Schellin; her brothers Alvin (Colleen) Seifert and Robert (Debbie) Seifert. Also, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband Jerry and grandsons Christopher and Cole.

A funeral service will be held at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 East Washington Avenue, Madison on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Hyland Crossings and Heartland Hospice for their compassionate care.

Carol will be dearly missed by her family and she will always be known as the "best mom" ever.
