Carol Neuman

April 26, 1955 — May 17, 2012

McFarland- Carol Ann Neuman, 57, of McFarland, passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2012. She was born in Milwaukee, and was the youngest of four children. She attended Catholic Memorial High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied art. Carol spent her life serving others. She dedicated herself to helping those less fortunate than her and was always available for someone in need. Whether building homes in Mexico, participating with Global Volunteers in Costa Rica, or reaching out with a helping hand, Carol always gave selflessly and completely. She had a wonderfully creative spirit, and always enjoyed exploring the world and people around her. Carol was a bright light in the universe that was extinguished far too soon. Carol loved her family with all of her heart. She is survived by her husband Paul; her sons Patrick (Stacey), Michael (Elizabeth), and David; grandchildren Zoey and Parker; her brothers Mark Shekleton and Tom Shekleton; her sister Joan (Dave) Fritzler; her brothers-in-law Joe (Sharon) Neuman and Fred (Marcy) Neuman; her sisters-in-law Julie (George) Zuniga, Debbie (Mike) Mayer, Mary (Kevin) Kinsey, Gail (Chuck) Frenzel; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her father Frank Shekleton, her mother Gertrude Shekleton, her father-in-law Larry Neuman, and her daughter-in-law Lisa Neuman. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5306 Main Street, McFarland, with Fr. Stephen Smith officiating. Burial will take place in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at church on Thursday.
