Carol Grant

ASHTON-MIDDLETON-Carol Mae Grant, age 72, of Ashton/ Middleton, died on Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017, at AgraceHospice Care in Fitchburg surrounded by family. Carol was born in Madison on April 4, 1945, to Leland and Betty (Marking) Stowell. She was employed at the Dept. of Transportation for over 35 years and retired in 2002.

Carol always enjoyed spending time with family doing crafts, card making and just being together. She also enjoyed reading the paper and doing the crossword puzzle.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Vic) Endres; grandchildren, Jennifer (Waylon) McCartney and Alesha (Matt) McCartney; step-grandchildren, Mason, Reece, Conner Ames, James and Emily Grant; great-grandchildren Justice and Jordan Fields and another great-granddaughter due in February; her mother, Betty Stowell; brothers and sisters, Pat Stowell, Barb (Dave)Koch, Dan Stowell, Dave Stowell, Don Stowell, Kim (Steve) Kearney, and Teri Wake. She was preceded in death by her father, LeLand Stowell.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017, at 12:00 noon at St John's Catholic Church, 209 South St., Waunakee. Msgr James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in St Peter's Cemetery in Ashton.

The family will designate a memorial at a later date.
