Stoughton - Calvin L. Baumgartner, age 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 25, 2016 at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born on October 27, 1931 in Paoli, Wisconsin, the son of Lloyd and Mabel (Disch) Baumgartner. He married Marcella Adams on May 30, 1953 in Madison.
Together they raised five children. Calvin worked for Subzero as a welder for 45 years. He enjoyed hunting, being in nature, rock hound, and listening to classic country music. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife Marcella Baumgartner; children, John (Cindi), Brenda (Steven) Reilly, Brian, Sue (Rick) Simler, and Ronald (Karen); grandchildren, Christi, Jim, Jamie, Patrick, Cody, Casey, Nick, and Bailey; great grandchildren, Hunter, Logan, Noah, Hannah, Paisley, and Harper.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Cress Funeral Home, 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Family and friends are invited to a meal following the service at the American Legion Hall, Post #59. Calvin will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens.
