Bonnie L. Zaemisch, Stoughton, passed away Monday, November 18, 2024, at Stoughton Hospital. Bonnie was born on August 15, 1952, in Madison, Wisconsin, to Clarence & Gladys (Anderson) Zaemisch. Bonnie attended DeForest schools and graduated from DeForest High School in 1971. She worked for 39 years at the Clack Corporation in Windsor, retiring on November 17, 2017.
Bonnie was an avid sports fan - especially for the Packers and Badgers. She enjoyed watching high school basketball tournaments, bowling, trips to the casinos and Las Vegas. She was a lifetime member of the VFW 8483 Auxiliary and volunteered for Sunday breakfast and other events at the VFW. Bonnie is survived by two brothers, Richard and Kevin (Dawn) Zaemisch and sister-in-law Peg Zaemisch. She is further survived by her nephews, Brian (Susan), Chad, Kyle & Jacob (Emily) Zaemisch and nieces, Amanda Dushack & Natalie (Andrew) Hoyos, great nephews and nieces Hunter (Anja), Gigi, Micah, Audra, Claudia, Layla, Ethan and Claire. Bonnie is predeceased by her parents, brothers Kenneth and Thomas, sister Linda Dushack, niece Jessica (Dushack) Werner and brother-in-law Dennis Dushack.
Bonnie had a hat collection that was not to be believed (especially by her brother, Kevin). All who knew her will miss her wonderful sense of humor. The family wishes to thank the staff of Stoughton Hospital, Skaalen Heights, Heritage Center and Skaalen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their kindness, compassion and dedicated care of Bonnie.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday November 27, 2024 at Cress Funeral Home, 5801 HWY 51 McFarland, with Pastor James Salimes presiding. A time of gathering will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Burke Lutheran Church Cemetery.
