Obituary

Bonnie Jean (Cremer) Laviron, 81, of Sun Prairie passed away on April, Monday 27, 2026 at Prairie Gardens.

Bonnie was born in Milwaukee, the daughter of Garvin John and Frances Helen (Longmire) Cremer on August 25, 1944. She attended Crestwood Elementary School in Madison, Sun Prairie High School, graduating in 1962, and Lawrence University in Appleton, graduating cum laude in 1966. After finishing her M.A. in French Education, Bonnie taught 6th and 9th grade for a year in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin.

She then married Etienne Laviron on October 4, 1969 in Dijon, French and spent 16 wonderful years making friends with people of all nationalities and interests. Bonnie started a group of French women who welcome foreign women in the afternoon in their homes and helped them in many ways.

Returning to the U.S. in 1985, Bonnie became a case manager for the South Madison Coalition of the Elderly and felt very useful. After retirement, she volunteered at church, the library, and Bird School, all in Sun Prairie.

Survivors include her daughters, Amanda Laviron of Paris, France, Stephanie Laviron of Paris, France; grandchildren, Shaquille, Ryan, Raphael, Benjamin; siblings, Scott (Ellen) Cremer, Holly (Jim) Berkenstadt; nieces, Aurora, Rebecca; and nephew, Bradley.

At Bonnie’s request, no formal services are planned.

An inurnment will take place at a later date at Sun Prairie Memory Gardens.
