Bonnie Coffey - Kingswan

Bonnie Ann Coffey/ Kingswan age 82 of Deerfield passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Milestone Senior Living in Stoughton. She was born on Sept. 11, 1942, in Madison, the daughter of Arthur and Berthie Mickelson.

Bonnie graduated from Deerfield High School in 1960. She was united in marriage to Edwin Coffey on January 13, 1962, at Deerfield Lutheran Church. After the untimely death of Edwin due to cancer in 1981, Bonnie eventually met Anthony Kingswan and they were married on June 13,1998.

Bonnie worked at the local M&A grocery store for many years, however her true passion was house decorating and eventually admitted to missing her calling as an Interior Decorator. She loved cooking and attending craft fairs to find her various decorating items and add pieces to her expansive jewelry collection. She and Tony also enjoyed making their rounds to local establishments to check their pool numbers or try the shake of the day.

Bonnie is survived by her sons, Jeff (Karen) Coffey, Troy (Jill) Coffey, Scott Kingswan and Joe Kingswan; grandchildren, Erin Barrington, Mellisa (Jorden) Durocher, Amy (Tristen) Weigel, Jeff Coffey, Aaron Coffey, Kyle (Donna) LaBarge, Tyler Coffey, Kailee Coffey, Drew Kingswan, Allison KIngswan; great grandchildren, Alex, Raquel, Bria, Chase, Ada, and Karter. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, and five stepsisters.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th, 2025, at St Paul’s Liberty Lutheran Church Educational Center, 3494 Oak Park Road, Deerfield at 11AM with the Rev. Holly Slater presiding. Visitation will take place at 9AM until time of service with burial to follow at St Paul’s Liberty Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at Nora’s.
