Bonnie Ruth Flad (nee Busse), 79, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026. She was born in Madison on November 24, 1946, to the late John and Mildred (Meier) Busse.

Bonnie graduated from Edgewood High School, where she met Timothy Hilar Flad. They were united in marriage on May 3, 1969.

Bonnie was a legal secretary for Wilson Law Group until her retirement. Bonnie loved her beloved Wisconsin Badgers, and Green Bay Packers. Family was most important to Bonnie; she loved spending time watching her sons play sports and later spending time with all her beloved grandchildren. Sunday breakfast with family were important to Bonnie. She always made sure the grandchildren had their favorite doughnuts. Bonnie’s friends were lifelong; she enjoyed every moment with them, from murder mystery parties to celebrations.

Bonnie will be dearly missed by her son Joseph Flad; grandchildren: Ashley and Emma and their mom, Becky; and Dayne and Westen and their mom Jyneal; sister, Jean Fugate, brother James (Leslie) Busse; sister-in-law, Sue Leslie; brother-in-law, Michael (Lori) Flad; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Tim, son, Christopher, brothers-in-law, Bernie Fugate and Michael Leslie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2939 Thinnes Street, Cross Plains. Family will greet friends, at church, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. A luncheon at church will follow.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Sienna Crest, Lodi and Agrace Hospice for their compassionate care.
