Bonnie Elizabeth (Beyler) Corcoran, age 82, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at BeeHive Homes of Oregon, Oregon, Wisconsin. She was born on October 23, 1943 in Madison, Wisconsin, the daughter of Chet (Charles) Beyler and Lila (Wagner) Beyler. She graduated from Edgewood High School, and continued her education at University of Wisconsin Platteville, earning a degree in elementary education. She furthered her education at University of Wisconsin Madison, completing her advanced degrees.
Born in Madison, Bonnie was soon joined by her brother Charles “Bud” Beyler. She learned to golf at a young age at Nakoma Country Club, which became a family activity. She developed a lifelong love for animals, especially dogs and horses. Bonnie helped in the family businesses when she was young, restaurants such as The Pub, Frenchy’s and the Chanticleer. Her love of music and dancing started during those years.
Bonnie dedicated her career to teaching and developing reading curriculum in the public school system. She was also instrumental in the growth of the Wisconsin State Reading Association (WSRA) through the years, serving as President of the organization from 1996-1997, and receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011.
Bonnie was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. While managing her career, she raised three sons from her first marriage, Scott, Craig and Brian Faust. She married James Corcoran in 1989, and they resided in Madison, until moving to their home on Lake Wisconsin in Lodi. Bonnie enjoyed her retirement years, crafting, gardening, taking photos, and making many special Christmas memories for the family. She loved spending time at their second home in Belleair Beach, Florida, where she loved collecting seashells, dancing at local establishments and spending time with family and friends. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy, she was devoted to watching them excel in their activities, and making memories along the way.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Jim Corcoran of Lodi, her children, Scott (Gigi) Faust of Madison, Craig (Angela) Faust of Waterford, and Brian (Laura) Faust of Verona, and two step children Tim (Kelly Seely) Corcoran of Stoughton and Kelly Corcoran of Oregon. Further survived by grandchildren Max, Mia and Jet Faust, Nathan, Natalie and Nolan Faust, Colette, Brynn, Aydin and Dominic Faust, Rebecca (Jake) Long, Mikaila (Derek) Jensen, and Nicholas Corcoran.
