Bonifacio "Boni" Niño Gonzalez, 55 entered into rest on January 30th, 2013 at his home in Sun Prairie, WI surrounded by his family. He was born in Sombrereta Zacatecas, Mexico on May 14th, 1957 to Cipriano Niño and Amelia Gonzalez. "Boni " as he was often called was the third of 10 brothers and sisters, most of whom live in Texas and Mexico. He was married and had 5 children; Yesenia, Alejandro, Priscilla, Liliana and Monserrat Niño. After he moved to the United States he split his time between Chicago, IL and Madison, WI where he met his life partner Daphne "Colleen" Moody. They decided to settle and make their lives in Sun Prairie, WI where "Boni" worked for Maunesha River Dairy. He enjoyed different hobbies, the Sun Prairie Corn Festival, and having family over for barbecues. He was known by the family as "Capi", "Biscocho" or "Sweetie Pie" and to Daphne's grandchildren he was known as "Umpa Boni". "Boni" was a tall man with a big heart and a gentle voice, in the end his heart was just too big and too pure for this world. His family in Chicago, Texas, Mexico and Wisconsin will all miss you. He was preceded in death by his mother Amelia and his brother Jorge Luis.
A funeral service will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie, on Sunday, February 3, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Juan Arevalo officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
