Billie M. MacNaughton

Madison-Billie Mae MacNaughton (Rietz), age 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 2, 2010.

Billie was born on March 22, 1926, the daughter of Raymond and Birdena Rietz, in Canton, Mississippi. Thereafter, she was a lifelong resident of Madison, Wisconsin.

She was united in marriage to James (Jim) MacNaughton on April 3, 1948. Billie and Jim were the loving parents of a daughter and a son. Billie is survived by her children, Sue (Dale) Bambrough and Scott (Jessica) MacNaughton. She is further survived by her grandson, Aaron MacNaughton; and her brother Robert (Dorothy) Rietz. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jim, and her parents.

Per Billie's wishes, a private ceremony will be held. In lieu of flowers, Billie requested that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, 8317 Elderberry Road, Madison, Wisconsin 53717-2603, 608-833-4555.

Billie's children wish to thank the entire staff at Rest Haven for the years of compassionate and loving care given to our mother.  We are also grateful beyond what words are able to express for your keeping our mother comfortable and so well cared for during her final illness.  Thank you all.
