Biagio Gargano

January 21, 1936 — December 7, 2012

Biagio Gargano, 76, of Fitchburg, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, December 7, 2012 at hospice
surrounded by his family. Our beloved Biagio was born on January 21, 1936, in Bagheria Sicily, the
son of Pietro and Angelina Gargano. He is survived by his wife of 42 years Rita Gargano; son, Peter F.
Gargano; and daughters, Angelina M. Gargano Huett and Maria Gargano Nolan.

Biagio was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son. His family
meant everything to him. He was a successful entrepreneur and restauranteur for over 50 years
(Gargano's Pizzeria, The Monastery, & Bellini Italian Restaurant). He was a brilliant chef who loved to
cook for his family, friends, and loyal customers. His strength, love and warmth with forever be
missed.

He is further survived by his three brothers: Francesco & family, Gino & family and Peppino & family.
His cousin, Charles Prestigiacomo & family; sister-in-law, Chickie & family; daughter-in-law & sonin-
laws (Liz Gargano, Brian Nolan and Jason Huett); and six grandchildren, Biagio G., Regina, Biagio
J., P.J., Emma and Ettore. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Pietro & Angelina Gargano; niece, Regina M. Gargano; and motherin-
law, Margarita.

A private funeral service was held on Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Cress Funeral Home,
simultaneously there was a memorial service held in Bagheria, Sicily for Biagio.

The family would like to thank all of the caring U.W. doctors and nurses who attended Biagio, as well
as all of the wonderful caregivers at Agrace Hospice, to John Jacobsen at Cress Funeral Home for his
guidance; and to Father Tony and Sister Georgeanne for their many prayers and comfort.

Papa/Biagio, thank you for always being there for us, for providing the very best for us, for your
unconditional love, support, and protection. We will forever miss you and your beautiful blue eyes.
We love you always!
