Beverly Pharo

MADISON
Beverly J. (Horton) Pharo passed away peacefully Thursday, November 10, 2016 at home following a short illness. She was born on May 2, 1929 to Charles and Lona (Crawford) Horton. Beverly grew up in the "Bush" in Madison along with 13 siblings. On November 20, 1948 Bev married Howard Pharo. He preceded her in death in 2003. She was a long time member of the VFW Post 1318 Auxiliary.

Beverly is survived by her brother Bob (Mary) Horton.

She is further survived by her 5 children: Joyce Streber, Patty Lewandowski, Sue (Peter) Morehouse, John (Lori) Pharo, and Scott (Jessica) Pharo; 10 grandchildren, Katie and Kelly Streber, Eric (Emily), Nicki, Tyler (Rachel) Morehouse, Matt (Jessica Hale) Pharo, Michael Broskowski, and Riley, Oliver and Colby Pharo; great-grandchildren, Joy Phipps, Jack and Evie Morehouse and Grace Morehouse. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

Bev was preceded in death by her parents; husband Howard; son-in-law, Robert Lewandowski; brothers and sisters, Juanita (Don) Beckwith, Frank (Marion) Horton, Jane (Victor) Goecks, infant sister, Carol, Donald Horton, Dorothy (Red) Bronson, Bernadine (Bob) Slinde, Frances (Troy) Dickert, Ruth (Tom) Lawler, Pat (Dale) Storck, Fern (Bob) Andreae, and Dixie Amery.

Mom enjoyed playing euchre, family gatherings, lunch dates and Christmas movies.

Mom touched many lives and was a friend to many. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Cress Funeral Home, 3325 E. Washington Ave., Madison. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2 until 4 p.m. and on Monday one hour prior to the service. Bev will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon at the VFW Post 1318 on Lakeside Street, Madison, following the burial.
