Stoughton, WI / Casa Grande, AZ - Beverly Ann Loomis peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Beverly was born August 19, 1934, in Mount Horeb, WI to Emma (Lehnherr) and Stanley Thronson. She was happily married to Dwayne Howard Loomis on April 21, 1956, and spent 59 wonderful years together.
Beverly graduated from Mount Horeb High School. Dwayne and Beverly owned and operated a local dairy farm on the east side of Madison where they raised their three children. She was a full-time housewife on the farm, but also worked seasonally driving school bus, and holding various office position for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and Swiss Colony. As the years went by, the couple retired and relocated to Stoughton. She enjoyed her abundant flower gardens and baking lots of delicious treats for her family. There was always a chocolate chip cookie in the cookie tin. As the grandchildren got older, she enjoyed attending their sporting events, instrument concerts, and choir showcases. She appreciated a good book, Taste of Home magazines, and the Sunday paper. She often looked forward to her monthly “Card Club” get together, to visit with friends and play a few rounds of euchre. Beverly and Dwayne spent 21 years as “snowbirds” in Casa Grande, AZ where they created an instant bond with their community and had countless friendships.
Beverly is survived by her children Jeff (Sandy) Loomis, Kristine (Mark) Sankbeil, and Susan (Tom) Galauner, her grandchildren Sara (Guthrie Lindquist) Loomis, Jacqueline (Conor) McKenzie, and Andrew Galauner, step grandchildren Tracy (Ron Geis) Sankbeil, great granddaughter, Kennedy McKenzie, and brother, Paul Thronson, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwayne (2015); parents; brother, Glenn Thronson; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Alona Thronson, Betsy Thronson, Robert Loomis, Henry and Alice Loomis, Bertha and Harry Nelson.
Her family would like to thank Agrace Hospice and Stoughton Meadows for their care for their beloved Mother and Grandmother.
