Beverly Ann Young

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Beverly Ann (Penny) Young, who departed peacefully on October 22, 2025, at Agrace Hospice Care in Fitchburg, WI. Born on March 13, 1937, in Canton, Ohio, to Frank L. Penny and Helen Pauline Poulos. Beverly lived a life filled with dedication, joy, and an unwavering love for her family.

Her long tenure marked Beverly's professional life as an Office Manager/Accountant for the Madison Club in Madison, WI, and later with a law firm in Rhinelander, WI, until her retirement in 2012 at the age of 75. Beyond her professional achievements, Beverly was an avid golfer, reader, and swimmer. She cherished her time living on the lake in Rhinelander, enjoyed watching old westerns, solving puzzles, and taking walks with her beloved dog, Sergeant. Later in life, her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, her husband’s John Young and James Snyder, and her sister Charlotte Carson. She was married to James Arthur Snyder from 1953 until 1980, and later married John R. Young in 1982, becoming widowed upon his passing in 2023.

Beverly's legacy continues through her loving family, including her three daughters: Helen Leggett (Richard), Beverly Snyder, and Jamie Miskimen (Carl); her son, Scott Young (Heather); her brother, Thomas Wucinich; and her sister, Patty Copthorne. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. at Winn-Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Co HWY Q, Waunakee, WI on November 7, 2025. Family will greet friends from 12 p.m. until the time of service.

Flowers are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital in memory of Beverly A. Young.

Following the service, please join us for a late luncheon and celebration of Beverly's life at Buck & Honey's in Waunakee, WI, at 1370 Water Wheel Dr.
