Betty Jean Owens

Madison -- Betty Jean Owens, age 88, died on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Oakwood West.   She was born on March 5, 1921 to Earl and Erika (Sundling) Wright in Huron, South Dakota.   In 1942, Betty received her bachelor's degree in business from the University of South Dakota.   Betty was united in marriage to Glenn Dinsmore Owens on May 27, 1943 in Fort Benning, Georgia.   She worked for the University of Wisconsin as an administrative assistant.   Betty enjoyed spending time with her family, and documenting family history.   Betty is survived by her husband; her children, Garry (Joanne) Owens of Frisco, Texas and Debra (Philip) Ristow of Jefferson, Wisconsin; and her grandchildren, John Ristow of Sun Prairie and Abby Ristow of Madison.   She was preceded in death by her parents; and a grandson, Paul Ristow.   A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009 at OAKWOOD VILLAGE WEST in the RESURRECTION CHAPEL, 6205 Mineral Point Road, Madison with Rev.
