Madison: Betty B. Leetch, age 97, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. She was born June 29, 1918, the daughter of C. Homer and Ora (Harpold) Blaine in Butler, PA. Betty graduated in 1935 from John Marshall High School in Richmond, VA, and attended Richmond Business College, and Lord Fairfax Community College. Betty married Kennath F. Leetch February 21, 1942 in Foxburg, PA. Together they raised Kennath's three sons (9, 12, and 13 years old) and together had a son and daughter. Betty worked for many years as a trust officer in banks in the Winchester/Front Royal, Virginia area. Following that, she was the office manager for a local mental health agency. After retiring, Betty moved to Vero Beach, FL in 1979, and then in 1985 to Inverness, FL. In 1989 Betty began spending summers with her daughter in Madison, later moving here permanently in 1997. Betty enjoyed painting (oils, acrylics, and water colors), reading, crossword puzzles, discussing politics and playing Scrabble. After moving to Madison she became an avid Badger and Packer fan, although she still loved to cheer for the Washington Redskins. Betty is survived by son, C. Brian (Hennie Pemberton) Leetch of Takaka, New Zealand, daughter, Linda J. (Leroy Baker) Leetch of Mazomanie, stepsons, Thomas A. (Ramona) Leetch, Chester, VA, Kennath F. Leetch, Sharpsville, PA, Larry N. Leetch, Manassas, VA, grandchildren; Pax C. (fianc�` Elspeth Miller), of Nguroa, Collingwood, New Zealand, Zoe G. (Enkhnasan Chuluunbaatar) Leetch, Takaka, New Zealand, Samson T. (Olga Grigoriadou) deJager of Thessaloniki, Greece, 7 step grandchildren, great grandchildren, Tushinbayar C. Enkhnasan, Temulen Z. Enkhnasan, Manolis Manu deJager, Yannos Nikau deJager, and 12 step great grandchildren, and 5 step great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kennath, and brother Herbert Blaine. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at the CRESS CENTER, 6021 University Ave., Madison WI 53705. The family thanks the staff of UW Health for many years of caring for Betty, and also the staff of Agrace HospiceCare for their loving care in the last few months of her life. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations in Betty's name to ASPCA, or the Dane County Humane Society. Please share your memories.
