Betty G. Knight

Betty G. Knight, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday April 7, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 24, 1937 the daughter of Ellis and Grace (Cox) Ferguson.

Betty spent her youth in Missouri before she traveled abroad with her husband, Richard A. Knight, during his years of military service in the Army. After their travels, Betty and Richard settled in Stoughton, Wisconsin, where she lived for 60 years. She was a dedicated employee of Uniroyal, retiring in 1999 after 23 years of service.

Betty was happiest when surrounded by her large and vibrant family. Whether it was playing games or hosting a cookout, she cherished every moment spent with those she loved. When she wasn't with family, Betty could almost always be found in her yard. She had a green thumb and a true passion for the outdoors, spending countless hours pulling weeds, planting flowers, and tending to her garden.

Betty was preceded in death by her parent; husband, Richard A. Knight; her son, Ricky Knight and daughter Donna Knight; her grandson, Derreck Knight; and her great-grandson, Evan Knight. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Clyde, Don, Calvin, Leota, Jackie Darryl.

She is survived by her loving children, Charles (Anna) Knight, Roger (Shirley) Knight, Dennis (Debbie) Knight, David Knight, Ron (Chris Hanson) Knight, Donald (Michelle) Knight, daughter in-law Kathy Knight; Betty also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her siblings, Helen, Mary, Kay, Wayne, and Debbie.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Cress Funeral Home, located at 206 W. Prospect St., Stoughton, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A reception for family and friends will follow the services.
