Torrance, CA / Madison, WI: Bess Winer / Sands, age 88, a long- time resident of Madison died Monday, September 23, 2013 in Torrance, CA. Bess was born in Madison on September 3, 1925 the daughter of Morris and Rose (Kaplan) Winer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, great aunt, and great-great aunt. Bess is survived by her son George (Pam), and grandchildren; Jordan, Jessica, Joseph, Jina, and Julie. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 9 siblings. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 pm on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Forest Hill Cemetery, 1 Speedway Rd., Madison, WI. Family and friends will gather at the entrance to the cemetery.
