Deerfield- Bernice Lillian Wedvick, age 91, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at Heritage Memory Care in Monona. She was born on April 26, 1923, the daughter of Henry and Clara Radloff and grew up on the family farm near Lake Mills. She married her high school sweetheart, Alford "Jack" Wedvick on February 21, 1942, and shared over 56 years of married before his death on June 13, 1998. They resided in the Deerfield area throughout their married life where they raised two children and later were blessed with four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Bernice loved them all dearly. She is survived by her son, Dennis (Mary) Wedvick of Deerfield; her daughter, Joyce (Jim) Schulz of Deerfield; grandchildren, Jeff (Karen) Wedvick of McFarland, Brenda (Charles) McFarland of Deerfield, Jay (Lisa) Gullixson of Mount Horeb and Andrea (Dan) Breiby of Cottage Grove; six great grandchildren, Brady Wedvick, Jake Wedvick, Hendrix Gullixson, TJ Breiby, Courtney Breiby and Joe (Katie) Solem; and many special nieces and nephews. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack; and sister, Grace Pohlman. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at St. Paul's Liberty Lutheran Church, 3494 Oak Park Road, Deerfield, with Rev Holly Slater officiating. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon at the church education center immediately following the services. Private burial will be held in Highland Memory Gardens. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 AM until the time of services on Wednesday at church. The family would like to say a special "thank you" to the wonderful staff at Heritage Monona who took such good care of her during these past two years. They truly loved her and treated her life family. Also a special thank you to the staff of Agrace HospiceCare who helped us navigate her care during these past few weeks and offered their kindness and support. Although we will all miss her dearly, Bernice was a believer and was looking forward to being reunited with her beloved Jack and all of the wonderful friends and family who passed away before her.
