Bernice Gardner-Pinkney, age 56, died Tuesday, December 2, 2008 in her home.   She was born June 5, 1952, in Newburgh, NY, the daughter of Alfred and Ruth (Medley) Barrett.   She was the owner of Tender Care Palace in Madison.   On June 5, 1999 Bernice was united in marriage with ""Mack"" Pinkney in Tampa, FL. In addition to her husband Mack, survivors include 4 sons: Darnell (Donda) Gardner and Jaron (Melanie) Gardner both of Madison, Lyle (Denise) Gardner of FL and Mckinley of Madison; 3 daughters: Latisha and Theresa Cross-Pinkney and Lanisha Pinkney all at home; her father Alfred Barrett of NC; 4 brothers: Richard Medley of NY, Raymond Medley of Hawaii, Gerald Medley of TX and Rev. Alfred L. (Sharion) Barrett of NC; 2 sisters: Winifred Medley of TX and Alfrieda Robinson of NY and 8 grandchildren.   She was preceded in death by her mother. A celebration of Bernice's Life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 13 at the CRESS FUNERAL HOME where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.   Bernice's brother, Reverend Alfred l.
