Middleton: Barbara Louise Sullivan passed away peacefully Friday, January 1, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 15, 1939 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Carl E. and Lucille Doty. Barbara graduated in 1957 from Immaculata High School in Chicago, and was united in marriage to John F. Sullivan July 9, 1960. Barbara and John have lived in Middleton for the past 40 years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Barbara lived her life and built her legacy on helping others. She was a volunteer at Attic Angel Association serving on many committees, performing medical transports, and the annual Attic Sale, Oakwood Village Oak Leaf Shop, and Meals on Wheels. Barbara was a member of St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church. Her many social activities included PEO, Mah Jong group, Book Club. She enjoyed her Tuesday Golf group, as well as her many travels with John, she was also a life-long fan of the Chicago Cubs. She is survived by her loving husband, John F. Sullivan, sister Bonnie Corvillion, daughters, Beth Sullivan, Jennifer (Todd) Lewis, son, Matthew (Adrienne) Sullivan, grandchildren, Shane (Kelsey) Lewis, Patrick Lewis, Aidan Lewis, Liam Sullivan, Louise Sullivan, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Lucille Doty. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at ST MARIA GORETTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5313 Flad Ave., Madison, WI 53711, with visitation from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's name to Attic Angels Association. Please share a memory of Barbara.
