Barbara J. Seekins

Barbara J. Seekins, age 76, died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at home.  She was born November 20, 1933, in Phoenix City, Alabama, the daughter of John and Opal (Smiley) Pierce.    Survivors include a brother Gethlyn (Ruth) Gardner, Jr. of Centerville, TN; a sister Montez (George) Wilson of Dickson, TN; a son-in-law Joseph Burns of Madison; stepmother Edna Gardner of Dickson, TN; numerous other relatives and friends and her care givers Doug and Sue Eppinger.  She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, a daughter Jeannie Burns, her parents and step father Robert Gardner, Sr.   A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, June 3 at MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH 5202 Cottage Grove Road where friends may call from 10:00 am until time of service.  Reverend Jeff VandenHeuvel will officiate.  The family sends a special thank you to St. Mary's Adult Day Care Center Cress Funeral & Cremation Service 3325 E.
