Barbara Owen

Barbara Ann Owen, aged 78 years, passed peacefully on September 14th, 2016 in Gages Lake, IL. Barbara was born April 9, 1938 in Milwaukee, WI, the only child of Arnold Ramlow and Melva (Johns) Ramlow.
Barbara graduated from the UW-Madison in 1960 with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. On July 2, 1960 Barbara married Neal Douglas Owen. Barbara had a successful career as a legal secretary until retiring to Port St. Lucie, FL in 1996 where she was an actively involved parishioner at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband and survived by her children, Greg (Charlotte) Owen, Katherine (Jamie) Leavitt, Jo (Rich) LeDuc, Mary (Paul) Cronwall, 7 grandchildren, and very special companion, Dave Quist.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016 at BLESSED SACRAMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2121 Rowley Ave Madison, WI with Fr. Andrew McAlpin, O.P. presiding. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen foundation.
