Barbara Mcneel

Barbara Jane McNeel passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at age 62. She was born in Elkhorn, WI to the late Laird and Dorothy (Clausen) McNeel.

Barb had good organizational and clerical skills which served her well in various jobs. Barb had a great sense of fashion. She was an excellent seamstress and cook. She always added a creative twist to recipes and the clothing she made. She made delicious meals and desserts for our large family, and always helped with preparations for church and holiday celebrations. Her favorite cookies to make and eat were Ranger cookies. She majored in art and graduated from Coe College in Iowa. Her college paintings were bold and expressive. Some of Barb's happiest days were spent in Vienna while on a semester abroad program in college.

Barb will be dearly missed by her siblings: Jean, Judith, Mary, Mark, and Kathleen; aunts Barbara Stoneman and Dorothy Clausen; and other extended family and friends; including, James, who will miss visiting Barb and running errands with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Laird; and brother, Bruce.

A Celebration of Barb's Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Portage, WI by her parents.
