Barbara Hofer

Sun Prairie - Barbara J. Hofer, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Lighthouse in Sun Prairie. She was born on April 4, 1939 in Ellendale, North Dakota the daughter of Theodore and Vivian (Gehring) Brandenburger. On December 8, 1957, Barbara was united in marriage with Edward Hofer. Barb always had her door open to anyone and everyone. She loved having friends and family get togethers at her home, the more the merrier. Barb loved reading, especially on her nook which she was able to master and give up hard backs. She enjoyed cross stitching and blessed each one of her children's home with a framed picture that she did for them. Barb took a lot of pride in her yard and pets.

She is survived by her sons, Clark (Dawn) Hofer, Scott (Peggy) Hofer and Jeffrey (Sherri) Hofer; a son-in-law, Gradon Arendsee; ten grandchildren, Cassie, Tarah, Austin, Cory, Barry, Darcy, Justin, Cameron, Tyler and Logan; thirteen great grandchildren; a brother, Roger (Pat) Brandenburger; sisters, Diane (David) Jones, Dana Brandenburger and Lori (Rodell) Fuchs; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Tami Arendsee, a brother, Kenneth Brandenburger and a sister, Vicky Jury.

A celebration of life will be at held at Barbara's Home, 6687 Prairie View Drive, Sun Prairie, on Sunday, October 25, 2015, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.

The family would like to thank Agrace HospiceCare and her neighbors, Mary and Steve Williams and Kathy and Andy Weisensel for all the wonderful care she received.
