Barbara Ethun

Madison/Waunakee - Barbara Ethun, 52, of Madison passed away December 12 at UW Hospital. Barb was born on May 5, 1960 to Elmer and Susan Rodenschmit Geishirt. Barb graduated from Waunakee High School in 1979. She married Mike Ethun on December 8, 1990. Barb cherished time spent with family and friends, loved to laugh, and always had a positive attitude despite many challenges in life. Barb will be dearly missed by her husband, Mike, her mother, Sue Geishirt of Waunakee, brother Steve (Therese) Geishirt and their children, Andrew, Katie, Kristen and Kelli of Waunakee, sister Karen Eisner and stepson Devin of Oregon, and brother Dave (Josie) Geishirt and their children DJ, Grady and Anna of Mazomanie. Barb is further survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Elmer Geishirt, and brother in law, Al Eisner. Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00-11:30 a.m., with service at 11:30, on Tuesday, December 18 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 209 South Street, Waunakee, with Fr. David Johannes presiding and Rev. Dan Kowert offering reflections. Memorials may be made to the family in Barb's memory.
