Barbara Carlson

WAUNAKEE-Barbara A. Carlson, age 84, of Waunakee died on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2017, at the Pines in Prairie du Sac. She was born in Waunakee on March 8, 1932, to Frank and Elizabeth (Schneider) Koch. Barb was blessed on Feb. 27, 1993, to marry the love of her life, Harold, and add to our family with his son, Tom. Every day Barb knew how lucky she was to have found such a loving and devoted husband.

Barb had many different jobs. Two of her favorites were head cook at St John's Catholic School for 13 years and being an aide at St. Mary of the Lake Montessori. Children always put a smile on her face especially her granddaughters, Kalie and Megan. Family also had a strong meaning to her and she loved her family deeply and would do whatever she could for them.

Survivors include her husband, Harold; a daughter, Nancy (Dean) Koch; a stepson, Tom Carlson; and her granddaughters, Kalie and Megan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Feb 18, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St John's Catholic Church, 210 South St., Waunakee. Msgr. James Gunn will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in the church cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Pines Assisted Living and Pine Villa Memory Care in Prairie du Sac. The compassion that they shared with my Mom and our family was always greatly appreciated.
