Audrey Hermanson

Audrey Joan (Lundeberg) Hermanson, age 72, passed away at the Hospice Care Center in Fitchburg, WI on Wednesday, September 29th, 2010.   Audrey Joan (Lundeberg) Hermanson was born October 2, 1937, the daughter of Norris E. Lundeberg and Karen T. (Bothum) Lundeberg.   She was born and raised on a farm outside of Stoughton in Pleasant Springs, and was a graduate of Stoughton High School in 1955.   Audrey married David W. Hermanson on July 30th, 1960 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Stoughton.   Audrey and David celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary this year.   They have three children and eight grandchildren. Audrey held employment at several area businesses throughout her career.   She was employed by Dr. Skaalen as a Dental Assistant, a shift Manager at A&W Restaurant, and later went to work for First National (Evergreen) Bank as a Receptionist and Safe Deposit Manager.   This began her career and education in the banking industry.   Audrey became actively involved with the American Safe Deposit Association, and Four Lakes Area Safe Deposit Association for which she held a position of Officer.   As her career in banking progressed she was employed at the Midvale Branch of First Wisconsin Bank (US Bank).    A position which supported her interest in teaching classes on topics related to Safe Deposit for the American Institute of Banking throughout the U.S.   She finished the later years of her banking career back at Evergreen Bank in Stoughton. As retirement approached she kept busy working part-time at Barry Optical and the Stoughton Area Senior Center.   Audrey was also an active member of First Lutheran Church in Stoughton, for which she served over the years on Church Circle, Church Youth Groups, Church Counsel, and as a Sunday School Teacher. Audrey will always be remembered for her warm caring nature and articulate beautiful voice. Audrey is survived by her husband David W. Hermanson of Stoughton, her three children Karla (Michael) Maloney, Kevin (Kathie) Hermanson, Kelly (Chuck) Sutton, and her eight grandchildren Collin & Liam Maloney, Ryan, Kyle, & Taylor Hermanson, and Kody, Karson, & Katriel Sutton. Audrey was preceded in death by her parents Norris & Karen Lundeberg. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 11:00 am at First Lutheran Church, 310 E. Washington St., Stoughton, with Pastors Bill Lehman, Richard Halom and Sara Ehrets officiating.  The family will greet friends at church on Tuesday from 9:30am until the time of service.   A private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
