Audrey Christie

ARLINGTON- Audrey Christie, 92 of Arlington passed away peacefully on January 2, 2016 at the Maplewood Nursing Home in Sauk City. She was born on January 2, 1924 in Glen Cove, Long Island New York to Charles and Lilian Jolly. On December 4, 1942, she married her high school sweetheart, Frank Christie who joined the military. After he returned from World War II, together, with their children, Audrey and Frank spent the rest of his military career traveling the world until Major Frank Christie retired from the United States Air Force in 1967. They spent the next thirty five years traveling and residing in Florida. Audrey moved back to Wisconsin upon the death of her husband in 2004.

Audrey loved to read, do word puzzles, knit, cook and spend time with her family. She also loved the casinos.... GG (great grandmother) was loved unconditionally by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren and anyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank, and brothers Albert Jolly (Margaret- deceased) and John (Mary) Jolly.

She is survived by her daughters Lilian Menhall (Dalton) and Doris Ziegler (Kurt - deceased), six grandchildren, 13 1/2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff of Agrace Hospice for the special care they provided to Audrey over the last year. They would also like to thank Dr. Russell Lemon who took great care of her and whom she loved to go see.
Burial will be at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida alongside her beloved husband of sixty two years.
