Arthur R. Roso

November 22, 1931 — January 29, 2024

Waunakee, WI

Arthur Roso passed away at age 92 on January 29, 2024. Art was born on November 22, 1931 in Waukesha, WI, the son of Joseph D. Roso Sr. and Mabel A. (Schiller Roso) Halama. He grew up in Waukesha and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1949. Art then studied economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. At the UW, Art met the love of his life, Carol Edna Feathers from Belmont, WI. Their wedding was on December 23, 1952.

Upon completion of their baccalaureate degrees, Art and Carol lived in Williamsburg, VA during his two-year tour of duty as an army officer at Fort Eustis during the Korean Conflict. They moved to Wauwatosa, WI after the birth of their children, Lynne in 1961 and Thomas in 1962. Art and Carol made family a priority. Art attended Marquette Law School in Milwaukee, WI from 1966 to 1968. He worked as an attorney in labor law for Allis Chalmers in West Allis, WI.

The family later moved to Oconomowoc, WI where Art practiced law, eventually opening his own firm. Art found his calling as an attorney. He also served as president of the congregation of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc.

Retirement permitted extensive foreign and domestic travel for Art and Carol. They also moved to Charleston, South Carolina where they lived two years, and then returned to Wisconsin when their three grandchildren were born. Later they wintered in retirement communities in Tucson, AZ and Las Vegas, NV.

Art was a life-long Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger football fan, watching and analyzing many football games with his son Thomas and other family members. Art enjoyed golfing, tennis and walking his neighbor’s dogs.

Art was predeceased by Carol, his wife of 70 years, his son Thomas, his brother Joseph D. Roso Jr, and his sister Helen (Roso) Snyder. He will be dearly missed by friend Inge, daughter Lynne (Keva) Schulz and grandchildren Katharine (Ryan Davine), Zachary (Heather Hanson), and Elizabeth Schulz.
