Arthur Larish

Arthur Dale Larish, passed away on September 8, 2016 at Heritage Assisted Living in Middleton WI where he resided. Art was 88 and was very ready to go. Art's family will be having a private gathering in honor of his life.
Art was born in Omro WI, the eldest son of Arthur Madison and Betty (Gray) Larish.
Throughout most of his years, Arthur enjoyed deer and duck hunting. Arthur joined the Marines in the late 40's, afterward moving to Oshkosh where he met Mavis Nekoli. They married, moved to WI Rapids in 1955 and had 6 children together. Their marriage ended in divorce.
Art married Phyllis Brophy in 1975 who he was very devoted to until her passing in June of 2015.
Art worked 1st brakeman, 2nd conductor for the Green Bay Western Railroad.
Art is survived by 6 children: Christine (Marcos) Ortiz, Kenosha, WI, Jeffrey Larish, NH, Laura Ewell, James (Paula) Larish, Lynn (Michael) Derrie, Lisa (Steven) Bollman, all of WI Rapids WI.
Art is further survived by 4 stepchildren: Dennis Brophy, WY, Scott (Barb) Brophy, WI, Linda (Jeffrey) Russell, Madison WI, David (Kris) Brophy, Middleton, WI. Art had 15 grandchildren, 29 greatgrandchildren, 2 great-greatgrandchildren, many step-grandchildren and step-greatgrandchildren.
Art is also survived by his brother Paul (Maureen) Larish, Honolulu, HI, his sister Joy Leonard, Neenah, WI, along with nieces and nephews.
Arthur is predeceased by his parents, his wife Phyllis, son-in-law Dennis Ewell, brother-in-law Don Leonard and niece Paula Larish. Please share your memories of Art.
