-Arthur Gill, 75, passed away Sept. 27, 2008 at his home in Madison with his family by his side. He was born Feb. 5, 1933, in Madison, a son of Arthur Gill and Marie Gill (Dunn). He married Josephine Schuster, Oct. 14, 1961 in Chokio, MN. Art was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Alaska during the Korean war. He was a patient, kind, and dedicated husband, father, and Catholic. Art retired from the State of Wisconsin Higher Educational Aids Board, and volunteered for many years at St. Martin's House. Referred to as ""Artie"" by some of his oldest friends, Art enjoyed spending time with his grand kids, sailing with his brother John and his family, cards in the north woods, golf, and tennis. Art is survived by his wife Jo Gill, children, Theresa (Tim) Wiese, Tom (Kathlena) Gill, Eileen (Neil) Cestra, Patti (Brian) Dittmann, Peter (Kari) Gill, and Nancy Gill (Arturo Ubach), grandkids, Alissa, Nick, and Alex Wiese, Madison and Eva Gill, Cole Cestra, Cally and Faith Dittmann, Milo and Noah Gill, and Dimitri Ubach."" He will have a mass of Christian burial at 11:30, Wednesday, Oct. 1. A time of visitation will begin at 9:30 am, both being held at Our Lady Queen of Peace ( 401 S. Owen Dr). Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul.  May His face shine upon you. Jo and Art
