MADISON-Arthur E. Bormett, Jr., age 73, died on March 29, 2017. Art was born January 14, 1944 in Madison, WI to Elizabeth P. Grimm and Arthur E. Bormett, Sr. He grew up in Madison and graduated from Edgewood High School. Art worked in the graphic arts field where he did book binding, silk screening, die cutting and printing.
Art is survived by his daughter, Michele Van Horn (Kent), son, Darrin Bormett, sister, Nancy Wachholz (John) and niece, Mariah Walker, grandchildren, Aspen and Savannah; as well as other nieces and a nephew.
Art was involved in several civic organizations. He was a life member of the Madison Elks Lodge #410, a member of the Italian Workmen's Club, and gave over 18.5 gallons of blood as well as bone marrow through the Red Cross. Art served on several boards including; the Grimm Book Bindery, Sub Zero Credit Union, Elks Club and the Dane County Welfare Oral Review Board. He was active with the United Cerebral Palsy of Dane County, where he assisted with telethons as the transportation chairman. Art also enjoyed "investing" in the casinos. He will be remembered as a self-described "Work of Art."
His daughter is very thankful for all his caring friends who visited him, provided rides, and other assistance in his later years.

A gathering will be from 2-4:00 PM on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Cress Center, 6021 University Ave. Madison, WI 53705 with a service to begin at 4:00 PM. Friends and family will gather with light refreshments following services.
