Arnold Edward Armbricht, age 84, of Sun Prairie, passed away peacefully at Agrace Hospice Care on Wednesday, March 30th, 2016. Arnold was born on March 4th, 1932, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of the late George and Marianne (Koebel) Armbricht.
Arnold grew up in Madison and had a lifelong love of learning. He graduated from Central High School and went on to attend Madison Business College. On Oct. 20, 1951, he married the love of his life, Molly Bernice Belka in Westport at Saint Mary of the Lake Church. During his career with International Paper he lived in Madison, DeForest, Oshkosh, and Elkhart, Indiana. When Arnold retired, he and Molly moved to Port Charlotte, Florida. Arnold loved living in Florida where he was President of their home owners association and was proud to plan and oversee the rebuilding of the Mary Lu Recreational Center after Hurricane Charley. In 2007 they moved back to Wisconsin to be closer to family. Throughout his life Arnold enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping, playing cards and hunting. In recent years, Arnold had been living at the Light House of Sun Prairie where he had made many wonderful friends.
Arnold is survived by his sons, Edward (Mary) Armbricht and Brian (Kathy) Armbricht; and his daughters, Pamela (Cornel) Krueger and Katharine (David Ruff) Hoernke; as well as a sister, Theresa Kempfer, two half-sisters Maxine Gladd and Tessa Hien; his grandchildren, Angela (Michael) Anderson, Erik Armbricht, Rachel Armbricht and Owen Armbricht; Drew Hoernke, Kaylin Hoernke-Ruff and two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Leah Anderson and several nieces and nephews. Arnold was preceded in death by his parents George and Marianne Armbricht, his wife Molly Bernice Armbricht and his grandson Andrew.
Visitation to celebrate Arnold's life will be at 1:00 P.M. followed by funeral services beginning at 3:30 P.M. on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Cress Funeral Home, 1310 Emerald Terrace, Sun Prairie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
