Arlene Low

Sun Prairie - Arlene A. Low, age 73, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born on July 5, 1940 to Edward and Dorothy (Sether) Coats. Arlene earned her bachelor's degree in her 50's and graduated summa cum laude in front of her entire family. She retired as an Accountant with the State of Wisconsin Department of Health and Social Services. Arlene served on the board of the Sun Prairie Emergency Food Pantry and was instrumental in the success of the fundraising concert for the food pantry each holiday season. She loved to travel. She was active in her church choir and enjoyed music and playing her piano.

Arlene is survived by her daughters, Cynthia (Paul) Mestelle, Robbin (Tom) Wirth, and Karen (Scott) Kolarik; her grandchildren, Branden Kolarik, Lauren (Scott) Conklin, Jessica (Joseph) Harrison, Brittany Kolarik, Robert Wirth, and Bartholomew Mestelle; her great grandchildren, Milo Bloomingdale, Hayden Conklin and Bartholomew Harrison, her brother, Cliff Coats, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Ed Coats.

Funeral services will be held at OUR SAVIOR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 550 Lincoln Drive, Sun Prairie, on Saturday, November 23, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Dr. David J. Berggren officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, November 23, 2013, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
