Arlene Failing

Arlene Shirley Failing, age 93, passed away on Wed May 9, 2018 in Madison. She was born July 27, 1924 in Madison to the late Arthur and Sadie (Roundy) Allegar.
Arlene was a leader and active of Deerfield Lutheran Church, loved making Christmas cookies, knitted blankets and hats for premature babies, volunteered as a tour guide at the Governor's Mansion, and was an avid card player. For most of Arlene's working years, she was employed by the State of Wisconsin's University System in Madison.
She is survived by her daughter Jo Failing, son Richard (Marla) Failing; 3 grandchildren, 2 great grandsons, a sister Kathleen Hoover, a brother Donald Allegar and a niece and a nephew.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Sunday May 13, 2018 at DEERFIELD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 206 S. Main St. Deerfield, with Rev. Larry Sexe presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park on Monday May 14 at 11:00 AM.
