Ardith Franklin

Stoughton- Ardith L. "Ardie" Franklin, age 65, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, July 4, 2013 with her husband by her side. She was born in Dodgeville on December 4, 1947, the daughter of Albert and Clara Kienitz. On October 15, 1966 Ardith married Donald Franklin at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Avoca. Ardie enjoyed fishing, playing cards, YATZEE and going to casinos with her husband. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school. Ardie was dedicated to the Lord and read the Portals of Prayer daily. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. Ardie will be missed and is lovingly survived by her husband, Don; two daughters, Lisa (Todd) Aide and Kimberly Franklin; two granddaughters, Abby and Carrie Aide; two brothers, Eugene and Bert (Doris) Kienitz; sister, Marie (Ron) Miller; many relatives; and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and nephew, Dennis Kienitz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Christ Lutheran Church, 700 County Road B, Stoughton, with Rev. Paula Geister-Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery South. Friends and relatives are invited to a luncheon, immediately following the burial, in the church fellowship hall. Friends may greet the family from 9:30 AM until the time of services Tuesday at church.
